Best and Worst Dress 63rd Annual Golden Globe Awards.

The beautiful people kept it safe and not too edgy at the 63rd Annual Golden Globe Awards. And even though we loved the natural and sexy makeup looks that prevailed (nude lips; soft hair; healthy, glowing skin), not everyone looked quite… beautiful. In the end, it’s all about the dress, ladies. (Most egregious look: the bosom falling out of it.) Here are some of our picks for the best and worst dressed stars at the 2006 Golden Globe Awards. Stella McCartney Roll–On Perfume

As Spring approaches, we are on the prowl for a new perfume and this lovely gift set from Stella McCartney is just the thing. The Stella Eau de Parfum Roll-On set includes four .33 oz roll-on bottles that are just the right size for a tiny evening bag.

The fragrance notes include Rose, Peony Flower, Mandarin, Rose Absolute, and Amber. It's a light floral with some interesting amber undertones. The set retails for $35.

Patti Pagliei is Waxing Poetic

We just love these "Waxing Poetic" 14k gold charms, that look like you embossed your initial into hot wax, just before you sealed up an important letter. You can choose your initial, and the charm comes in two sizes: the square charm mestures 1" and retails for $460, and the Baby size measures 5/8" charm and retails for $185.

The charms also come in sterling silver, and would make fabulous graduation or birthday gifts. They're available at Pagliei.com, the online store of talented designer Patti Pagliei.

Gucci Boston Bag

It's Spring and Gucci has lots of new handbags. We like this new black patent leather large Boston Bag. The dimensions are 7 4/5" Height x 14" Width x 5 3/4" Depth. It retails for $1,675.00 at Neiman Marcus. You have to get on the waiting list: the bag will ship by May 8, 2006.

But if the leather version just won't do it for you, you can special order the black crocodile version for $13,900.00 on Gucci.com.

The Stylish Baby

There's nothing cuter than a baby all dressed up. Even if the little dear can only keep the outfit clean for a few minutes -- that's enough for a photo op that will last forever. We love this darling pink hat and booties from Robeez Hats. The Flower Patch Shoes have soft flexible soles with a stay-on elasticized ankle band and skid-resistant textured suede soles. The uppers are made of machine washable leather, which is really nice. The shoes retail for $26.

The knitted hats by Robeez are just as adorable as the shoes. We like this matching Flower Patch Hat in pastel pink. The hats are individually hand-knit from 100% mercerized cotton yarn. The hats retail for $20, but are on sale right now for $12, which is a great bargain.

(Hat tip to Blogging Baby).

The Juicy Cowboy Boots

Juicy Couture has entered the shoe business with these very cute dark brown leather cowboy boots with a stacked heel. On the back of the boots the words "Juicy Couture" and roses are embroidered. On the side of the boot dangle darling little gold and red enamel horseshoe and apple charms. They retail for $480.00 at Neiman Marcus.

L'Oreal: Because Scarlett is Worth It

British Vogue reports that actress Scarlett Johansson has been signed as the face of L'Oreal Paris' new haircolor product line called HIP (High Intensity Pigments).

Where one door closes, another opens -- especially when it comes to beauty boutiques and A-list actresses. Just a month after Scarlett Johansson's role as the face of Calvin Klein fragrances came to an end, the bombshell blonde actress has been swept up by L'Oreal Paris to represent its new colour line: HIP High Intensity Pigments. "It's wonderful to be working with L'Oreal, a company that has celebrated independent women for years," says Scarlett. "I'm very excited to be part of this campaign, which is modern and fashion forward." The Match Point star, who is thought to have made $1 million-a-year through the cK contract, is estimated by industry sources to have been wooed by a $3 million-a-year deal this time around, according to WWD. HIP is expected to generate sales of $50 million in its first year and Johansson's contract will likely include the promotion of further make-up and haircare products in the future. Her first ads for the brand will air during the Golden Globes, of which L'Oreal Paris is the sole beauty sponsor, on January 16.
We can imagine that she is, indeed, "very excited to be part of this campaign" -- but not because it's "modern and fashion forward." For a cool $3 million a year, even a campaign that was woefully passe without a shred of fashion-forwardness could seem new and exciting. Not that there's anything wrong with that.

Mac Launches Lingerie Collection

Hanukkah is still going strong, but those who celebrated Christmas on the 25th seem a bit pooped from all the shopping, cooking, partying and gift-giving. In fact, the patrons at our local Starbucks this morning looked quite zombie-like. Thank goodness someone is launching something this week. Mac Cosmetics has launched its spring 2006 makeup collection, which they -- confusingly enough -- call "Lingerie." It's not lingerie, though, it's makeup.

Laced with frost, shiny as satin - the naked "undertones," naughty violets, trousseau whites and skimpy pinks of this playfully provocative new colour collection are designed for your inner femme. This Lingerie is meant to be seen! Flaunt it!
Pictured are Mineralize Skinfinish in Petticoat, a powder blush and highlighter ($23.50), Lipstick in Body Suit ($14.00) and Lip Glass, a high-gloss lip gloss, in Fine China ($14.00).

The colors are quite pretty. In fact, they'd look great on New Year's Eve, especially if you're wearing silver or black.
